Tacheles and the Alternative Berlin Tour

While I was away in Berlin, I decided  to go on the Alternative Berlin Tour (http://alternativeberlin.com) - these guys are BRILLIANT and they talk you through and take you round the subculture of Berlin – mainly Street Art – which is rife over there… If you’re lucky enough to be visiting Berlin – Please please check these guys out – you won’t regret it!

On the tour they took us to Tacheles  (see the photo below) which is an artists Squat that is covered head to toe with graffiti and Art by the squatters themselves – This squat has been bought by a big horrible bank and they are trying to close it down, which would be a tragedy, because Tacheles seems to me to have the essence of East Berlin and to lose it to a bank would be devastating.
